Blast Edge Games’ beautiful-looking pixel art action RPG Hyke: Northern Light(s) is coming to PS5, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam this Summer.
The 2D top-down action RPG sees players take on the role of Hyke, a young witch following in her mother’s footsteps who loves camping but seems to love exploring dangerous, magic-filled forbidden zones just as much.

Hyke: Northern Light(s) Trailer Shows the Beauty in a Desolate World
The story of Hyke: Northern Light(s) reveals that the world has been devastated by a terrible war between humans and witches, and that Hyke’s own mother seemingly had a big part in the destruction of what once was. Hyke will go on an epic journey that takes her into unexplored ”Forbidden Areas” where the witches known as Metheos await.
Along the way, Hyke will be joined by other witches who each have their unique abilities to aid the journey. Between battles, the group, made up of up to seven witches, can relax at camp, sort through their gear, and prepare meals offering tantalizing combat buffs. Then it’s back to nice walks and tough battles.
Hopefully, we won’t have to wait too long for a concrete release date for Hyke: Northern Light(s). Summer is not too far away, at least. I’m looking forward to spending some of mine in this game’s world.
