Thermite Games’ historical City Builder House of Legacy has launched into Early Access on Steam.
House of Legacy lets you step into the shoes of a fallen clan leader, starting with nothing but a crumbling estate and a handful of hopes, rising through careful planning, trade, and diplomacy to become one of the most powerful families in the land. From there, you’ll need to forge a legendary dynasty that leaves its mark on history. You’ll be able to bestow your clan members with knowledge, wed them to other houses, and propel your kin to greatness.
The Early Access version features 12 unique cities, 30 noble families to interact with, over 100 unlockable pieces to build your estate, farm, or city, and customizable names for characters, homes, and lands. Check out some of the features below and gawp at that beautiful watercolor-style art.

City Builders are among my favorite flavors of RPG sub-genres. No, not all of them fall into this category, but ever since playing Civilization a few decades ago, I’ve been fascinated by the idea of building an empire over long periods and battling with other clans, nations, tribes, and the like in the political and warfare spheres. House of Legacy looks quite beautiful, and I’m intrigued by its RPG elements. I’ll share my impressions with you soon.
