Find out how Elden Ring Nightreign Relics work in our guide to one of the key aspects of the co-op action RPG’s gameplay loop.
Elden Ring Nightreign is a multiplayer co-op title in which you join your friends to stop the Night Lord and prevent approaching rain from destroying The Lands Between. While it features all the signature aspects that FromSoftware is known for, it’s a very different game at its core.
Once you start the game, you’ll have to fight some tough monsters, and do these very quickly, unlike the base game. Thankfully, the game gives you Relics to help you with this.
What Are Elden Ring Nightreign Relics?

In Elden Ring Nightreign, Relics are the mark of permanent progress that you make after completing a run of the game. Every time you jump into the game, irrespective of whether you defeat the Nightlord or not, it will reward you with Relics.
The drops are completely random, but if you keep playing, eventually, you will end up with Relics that are suited towards all of your favourite Nightfarers.
There are 3 different ways in which Relics differ from each other:
1)Relics Based on Color
Elden Ring Nightreign Relics are color-coded, namely Red, Green, Blue, and Yellow. A single Nightfarer can equip a maximum of three Relics, and they need to match the color of the slot. In other words, you can only slot a Red Relic into a Red slot and more.
2)Relics Based on Rarity
Relics have rarities, namely Delicate, Polished, and Grand. Delicate Relics have only one buff, Polished two, and Grand Relics come equipped with three buffs.
3) Relics Based on Enemy Drops
Finally, there are common Relics, Nightfarer Relics, and Night Lord Relics. The common Relics are those that you get by simply completing a run, irrespective of whether you succeed or fail. Nightfarer Relics are obtained by completing specific events called Nightfarer’s Remembrance Quests. Finally, Night Lord Relics are obtained upon defeating the final boss, and these are often some of the strongest Relics in the game.
How To Use Relics In Elden Ring Nightreign

Relics are simple to use, equip them from the Relic Rites site at the Roundtable Hold. Once equipped, you don’t have to do anything else, as the effects will be active until you unequip them.
Common Relics come with random stats, so depending on the Nightfarers you equip them on, your character might be able to play multiple roles. However, make sure it isn’t too different from the class roles.
For instance, equipping Relics that boost Sorcery damage on the Raider will be a waste. Finally, it is important to mention Relics don’t disappear, so you can use them as many times as you want.
