Nightlords in Elden Ring Nightreign are the main bosses whom you encounter after each expedition. Ideally, you have to go through two days where you prepare by collecting weapons and other equipment to enhance yourself.
Once you are strong enough, you’ll then need to fight the Nightlords on day 3, who will pose a massive challenge, both in terms of survivability and adaptability. However, among these Nightlords, some are quite easy to clear, while others can be extremely difficult.
As such, here’s a list of all the Nighlords ranked from easiest to hardest, so that players can have an idea of the scale of challenge that they will face.
8. Sentient Pest

This is by far the easiest boss in Elden Ring Nightreign. This boss is divided into two parts: a scorpion that charges around the field, and a moth that flies around and fires a magic laser at the players.
When at 50 percent health, the moth sits on top of the scorpion and starts firing orbital lasers at the players. Additionally, they will release a cloud of poison that can inflict the status effect on players very easily.
However, each of these moves is telegraphed and easy to dodge. The orbital laser has a long release time, so you can quite easily move to safety. The charge of the scorpion or the magic missiles from the moth are very slow and easy to get away from it.
As long as you have fire in your weapons, the boss goes down very easily, and a decently skilled team won’t need more than one try to clear it.
7. Augur

This is another Nightlord that is extremely easy to deal with in Elden Ring Nightreign. This boss pretty much has one move that can deal serious damage, which is a Teardrop nuke.
However, as long as you have ranged characters in your team, the Teardrop can be destroyed before it hits the ground, and the nuke is neutralized.
Apart from that, most of Augur’s moves are telegraphed and easy to dodge. If you have Lightning, the boss gets stunned almost instantly, which makes the fight even easier.
The only reason it is a little difficult than Sentient Pest is because it can put the players to sleep. However, there are no good ways to counter it apart from stunning the boss, and if you don’t have a Lightning weapon, you’ll get affected by this status effect every single time and take unwanted damage.
6. Gaping Jaw

Gaping Jaw is a mildly difficult boss in Elden Ring Nightreign. This is because, while its moves aren’t too hard to understand, it’s extremely aggressive, which can be overwhelming for players.
This boss has a massive mouth, and it can not only grab players, but can also bleed them, and if your health isn’t big, you’ll get one shot. Additionally, once its health is below 50 percent, it starts releasing lightning, which can one-shot you.
However, if you have poison, the boss becomes exceptionally easy. Its aggression is halted as it gets stunned quite often. If you don’t have poison, then this boss will become difficult, and unless you have an exceptionally skilled team, it’ll take you a while to clear it.
5. Tricelaphos

This is where the difficulty of the bosses starts to increase quite rapidly. This is the first boss you’ll fight, and it’s also a pretty difficult Nightlord to tackle.
This is because, being your first time jumping into the game, you’ll still be learning about your runs, how to prepare optimally, items to collect, and how to select the best weapons.
In such a scenario, you are faced with a highly aggressive boss that not only deals a lot of damage, but can also split into three and engage you from all directions. If you aren’t careful, it’s easy to get overwhelmed by all three parts of the Tricelaphos at once and get shut down instantly.
Holy damage works against the Beast of the Night, but it isn’t enough to stop it from being aggressive and lethal. The fiery slash that hits you from across the arena can also one-shot you, and it comes very fast. So you have very little time to react.
4. Darkdrift Knight

This boss is a hard-hitting and aggressive boss who has the ability to one-shot you regardless of your health. This boss overwhelms you with its plethora of moves, and unless you maintain full concentration, your team will get wiped out very quickly.
The Darkdrift Knight uses Holy attacks, where it charges at you at full speed and leaves behind trails that explode after a while. It also releases Holy spears from the ground that deal massive damage when hit.
Additionally, at 50 percent health, it uses a dark hand to release a dark substance while slamming the ground or swiping its hand. If you’re caught in its combo, you’ll end up dead almost instantly.
The only time you get a moment of respite is when it charges its Holy spear attack. If you use Lightning attacks, you get to stun the boss momentarily. While it doesn’t stop the attacks, the intensity is reduced a bit, which gives you a fighting chance.
3. Caligo, Miasma Of The Night

Caligo is the frosty dragon that you fight in Elden Ring Nightreign. This boss will use powerful Ice attacks, such as its ice breath, or it will hurl frozen stones at you from a distance.
The difficulty of this boss primarily comes from her ability to cover the arena with fog. While in this fog, she will breathe ice towards the sky and freeze the air above.
Once she is done, the frozen air will shatter and fall on the battlefield, thereby dealing damage to the players and afflicting them with frostbite. The easiest way to deal with this is either running far away or underneath Caligo, where it doesn’t hit you.
However, it’s difficult to assess your position due to the mist, which makes it difficult to fight back. Additionally, being a dragon means she has massive hitboxes that hit very hard, and when combined with the frostbite damage you receive, your team can be wiped very quickly.
The only way to deal with this boss is to use fire, which helps you deal quite a bit of damage. It also enables you to stun Caligo, which opens up opportunities for a critical strike.
2. Equilibrious Beast

This is quite possibly the second hardest boss you’ll fight in Elden Ring Nightreign. This is primarily because there are no direct counters to it apart from Madness. Unfortunately, Madness weapons are extremely rare, especially if you’re playing a class such as Ironeye.
This means you’ll have to rely on learning the mechanics of the boss. During the fight, the Equilibrious Beast uses powerful Madness attacks, and it will spam them towards the player. In addition to the various spells, the boss will also charge at the players and deal massive damage.
The constant spell spam from the boss is extremely annoying to deal with since each of them has three to four casts at a time, and they come at you very quickly. The boss also covers the arena with Madness cloud that can inflict the ailment onto the player, which in turn deals immense damage.
However, there is only one instance where you can launch a counterattack, and that is when the boss meditates. During this time, it summons mirrors that you can destroy to stun the boss. This stops it from using the Madness spells, and thereby allows you to fight back.
However, even at this moment, it releases Madness lava all across the arena, which you have to keep dodging. As such, you never really have a moment of respite, and you’ll have to maintain concentration until it’s dead.
1. Night Aspect

This is the final Nightlord you fight in Elden Ring Nightreign and it is definitely the hardest one. This is because, unlike other bosses, this one has two full health bars, which makes survivability difficult.
The first phase isn’t that hard since it uses a few simple moves and swings its sword aggressively. You can parry the attacks or dodge and hit the boss. However, once the first health bar is depleted, that is when the difficulty gets turned up massively.
In the second phase, the boss is absurdly aggressive as it dashes toward the players, using multi-hit attacks and forcing you to keep dodging back. The boss will also rise up in the sky, split it open, and then slam onto the ground, creating fissures all around.
These fissures can cause varying types of damage and deal massive amounts of damage. If you try to run away from them, the boss will aggressively dash at you and force you to make mistakes.
It’s a very chaotic fight and can only be handled by the most coordinated teams.
