Events are activities in Honkai Star Rail that you can complete and acquire great rewards, which include Stellar Jades and ascension materials. One such event that you can play in the game is Trace ‘n’ Drift.

This is a racing event where you will sit inside a sphere and race to defeat your enemies. There are multiple mechanics that’ll be at your disposal, and it will be up to you to make the most out of them and gain victory.

When you start the event, the first thing you’ll do is get inside a sphere, which will be your race car. Once that is done, you’ll select an activity where there will be a race track for you to race.

Selecting the tract will start the race, and you can now begin. Once the countdown is over, press the right mouse button to accelerate your car.

While you drive, there will be several items that can either aid, or prove to be an obstacle and are best avoided. Here is a short note on everything that you will possibly encounter on the racing track in the Trace n Drift event in HSR:

    • An Orange bottle; that lets you use your car’s skill
    • A Blue bottle; that lets you accelerate
    • Billboards and dolls, which will slow you down if you happen to hit them
    • Blue acceleration zones with an arrow pointing forward
    • Red deceleration zones with an arrow pointing backward

You’ll have to hit the acceleration zones so that you can speed up your car and move ahead of your opponents. Always remember, you’ll have to keep pressing your mouse’s right-hand button to accelerate and the left-hand button to activate your skill.

Finally, while you’re racing, there will be diverging areas of the tracks that will give you shortcuts to the endpoint. Make sure you use those shortcuts to collect easy victories.
