Everdark Sovereign Darkdrift Knight is a more difficult version of the Darkdrift Knight in Elden Ring Nightreign, and it will test you in every possible way. This version of the boss embraces its Centaur warrior ideology and not only adds more moves, but also more health and damage.
However, you can defeat the boss provided you spend time meticulously preparing during the first two days of the match. Here’s a detailed guide to everything you need to know about the boss, so that you can get it cleared in no time.
Everdark Sovereign Darkdrift Knight Boss Moves in Elden Ring Nightreign

Here’s a list of all the moves with tips on how to counter them when facing the Everdark Sovereign Darkdrift Knight boss:
Moves | ||
---|---|---|
Rain of Arrows | The boss will summon Holy arrows over its head and then charge at the player. During this time, the holy arrows will directly fall around the boss, dealing damage to anything caught in its path. | It’s easy to see when the boss is about to summon the holy arrows. All you need to do is move away from the path of the attacks, and you’ll be good. |
Holy Twinblades | The Darkdrift Knight will summon a Holy Twinblade and swing it at the player three times. | You’ll have to learn the timing of the Twinblade swings and dodge them right when they are about to hit you. |
Twinblade Slam | The boss will use its Holy Twinblade and slam the ground, dealing damage in a large area. | The moment you see the boss rise up in the air with the Twinblades, start running, since you don’t want to get caught within the damage radius. |
Golden Arrows | The boss will summon a bow and shoot a couple of Holy arrows towards the player | Dodge sideways, and you will be safe from the direct arrow attacks. |
Divine Strike | The boss will rise up in the air and use its boss to charge up a Golden Arrow. Once fully charged, it will shoot the arrow towards the ground, where it will explode and deal Holy damage to everyone in an area. | Run in the opposite direction of the boss as the Holy blast deals massive damage when it hits and can wipe out an entire team. |
Apart from that, the boss has all the moves which you’ll find in the base version of the Darkdrift Knight. The Everdark Sovereign Darkdrift Knight also starts with its corrupted arm active and sprays the dark substance all across the field right away.
You should also remember that you’ll have to defeat the base version of the boss to unlock this high difficulty version.
How to beat Everdark Sovereign Darkdrift Knight in Elden Ring Nightreign

The Everdark Sovereign Darkdrift Knight is an extremely aggressive boss, even more so than its base version. The boss directly starts from the second phase of the base version and adds new moves to it.
The difficulty of this version comes from the fact that the new moves are hard to dodge. Unlike the base version, where you could simply move away from its path and you were fine, the new version won’t give you the scope as the attacks have huge AoE, and they hit very hard.
However, that does not change the fact that the key to defeating this boss is using Lightning attacks. Any weapon that uses this element will not only stun the boss in its path, but it will also reduce the effectiveness of some of its attacks quite a bit.
Additionally, Holy and Physical damage negation is extremely important so that you don’t get one-shot. Making sure that you upgrade your weapons is vital, too, since the Everdark Sovereign Darkdrift Knight has more health, so that base weapons won’t do as well.
You’ll also have to hit all the churches in the first two days so that you have enough healing flasks in case something goes wrong during the fight. Defeating enough bosses so that your level is above 12 is crucial since the scaling it provides helps with survivability.
Finally, if you don’t manage to pick up Holy weapons, Poison also works on this boss. If you manage to pick up anything that deals Poison or Scarlet Rot, don’t throw it away, since the draining health can help make the fight a bit easier due to the high HP pool.
Recommended Characters for beating Everdark Sovereign Darkdrift Knight

When we fought against the Everdark Sovereign Darkdrift Knight, the characters we used are as follows:
- Ironeye
- Guardian
- Recluse
Among these, I was playing the Ironeye and focused on marking the boss and dealing damage from a distance. I was using a bow with Lightning damage and made sure the boss got stunned whenever possible.
The Guardian in the team was the tank and focused on fighting the boss head-on. They picked up several HP boosts and had a massive health bar, which helped them fight the boss without running the risk of being one-shot.
The Recluse was involved with dealing damage from a distance and played in the backline as much as possible. This is because, even though the damage from the Recluse was high, the character was very squishy and lacked survivability.
Recommended Build to fight Everdark Sovereign Darkdrift Knight
Here’s the build that I used and what you should be using to fight the boss:
Build | My Build | Recommendations for You |
---|---|---|
Level | 14 | Above 12 (Ideally 14 or 15) |
Weapon | Lightning Bow | Any weapon that deals lightning damage |
Relics and Talisman | Lightning damage boost, HP boost, stamina boost, damage negation | Same as previous column |
In my case, I had a Relic that induced Lightning to my starting weapon. I simply upgraded the bow, which helped throughout the fight. In your case as well, Lightning is mandatory, and you should be picking up a weapon that offers the element.
HP boost is required to survive, and stamina boost helps in chaining dodges and landing more attacks.
