    Capcom Fighting Collection 2

Capcom announced today that Capcom Fighting Collection 2 is confirmed for a May 16 release on PS4, Xbox One, PC and Switch (thanks, Gematsu). The Collection features eight games that have been updated with several quality-of-life improvements and online play. The games are headlined by the big one – Capcom vs SNK 2: Mark of the Millennium and Power Stone 2. Here is the list of all games included in the Collection:

    • Capcom vs SNK: Millennium Fight 2000 Pro
    • Capcom vs SNK 2: Mark of the Millennium 2001
    • Capcom Fighting Evolution
    • Street Fighter Alpha 3 UPPER
    • Project Justice
    • Power Stone
    • Power Stone 2
    • Plasma Sword: Nightmare of Bilstein

Pre-orders for the game are open now, and include bonus tracks ‘Soy Sauce for Geese’ and ‘Rival Schools Medley’ that can be played in the Museum mode in the game. The game comes in a Physical and Digital version, and for those ordering the disc, there is an original Capcom vs SNK comic available free for a limited number of orders.

The powerhouse studio has also put out a detailed note on the features that these games will come with:

    • A training mode with a lot of customizable options
    • Language support for English, Latin American Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Japanese, French, Italian, German, Castilian Spanish, Russian, Polish, Korean, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, and Arabic.
    • Art and music galleries with concept art and never-before-seen content.
    • Ability to fine-tune a lot of in-game features including difficulty settings.
    • Ability to save the game in between.

Capcom has also finally made the Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection available for Xbox One after it was released for PS4, Switch, and PC back in September last year.

Here are the details on each of the games available in the collection:

    • Capcom vs SNK: Millennium Fight 2000 Pro: An arcade game first released in 2000 about a special martial arts event by the Garcia Financial Clique and the Masters Foundation; and was nominated for several ‘Best Fighting Game’ awards.
    • Capcom vs SNK 2: Mark of the Millennium 2001: The sequel to the first game released in 2001 and was among the very first to support cross-play between Dreamcast and PS2. The game supported 48 playable characters and had several endings. The game is considered to be one of the best fighting games ever.
    • Capcom Fighting Evolution: The game was released in 2004 originally as an arcade game before it was ported for PS2 and Xbox; and featured characters from the Street Fighter games and Darkstalkers 3.
    • Street Fighter Alpha 3 UPPER: A 1998 arcade game for Playstation, Dreamcast, PS Portable & SEGA.
    • Project Justice: The game is actually a sequel to Project Justice: Rival Schools, and was released back in 2000.
    • Power Stone: A 1999 3D arcade game that was remade in 2006 along with its sequel and released on PS Portable.
    • Power Stone 2: The game was released in 2000 with 4 playable modes, and was received quite well by critics and gamers alike.
    • Plasma Sword: Nightmare of Bilstein: A sequel to Star Gladiator with a revamped control system, this was launched in 1998 with a Dreamcast port in 2000.
