Everdark Sovereign Sentient Pest moves in Elden Ring Nightreign

Here are all the moves that you’ll come across when fighting Everdark Sovereign Sentient Pest. This version of the boss features two distinct phases, each with four health bars in total.
Phase 1
In Phase 1, both Moth and the Scorpion are combined, essentially becoming Phase 2 of the ordinary version.
| Move | Description | Counter |
|---|---|---|
| Charge | The boss will charge at the player and shoot magic missiles while doing so. | Simply dodge sideways and you’ll be safe from the charge attack. The magic missiles don’t hit you during the dodges, and neither do they hurt as much. |
| Orbital Laser | The boss will shoot a magic laser from the sky towards the player. | The laser deals quite a bit of damage, but you can see where it’s falling. So it’s very easy to dodge the move. |
Phase 2
During Phase 2, a third boss will appear, called Animus, Ascendent Light. Apart from that, both the Moth and the Scorpion will separate, and now you have three bosses to fight.
However, when Phase 2 begins, only Aniums will be at full health, and the other two at around 25% health. If you quickly take down one, the Animus will take over its dead body and empower it.
| Move | Description | Counter |
|---|---|---|
| Poison Mist | The boss will release a powerful poison mist that will quickly build up poison on the players. | Simply run backwards when that happens, and you won’t be affected by the mist. |
| Ground Slam | The Scorpion will rise up and slam the ground. | Dodge backwards or sideways, and you won’t get hit by the spikes. |
| Empowered Slam | The Scorpion, when possessed by the Animus, will slam the ground, releasing spikes followed by an explosion. | Dodging sideways and back, are optimal ways to dodge this attack. |
| Light attacks | The Moth will create laser balls around its body and then shoot them at the player. | Dodge them as they approach you, and you’ll be safe from the attacks. |
| Pincer | The Scorpion, when possessed, will charge at the player and try to grab them. | Side dodge is the best way to stay safe from this attack. |
How to defeat Everdark Sovereign Sentient Pest in Elden Ring Nightreign

The Everdark Sovereign Sentient Pest boss is easy, but it can feel overwhelming if you aren’t prepared during the first two days. This is because, when phase 2 begins, it’s bound to feel confusing on whom you should focus out of the three.
However, this boss is weak to fire, and that is the first idea that you must keep in mind. As such, you should bring as many fire weapons or spells as possible, and you’ll be able to deal with the boss very easily.
Level is important, and make sure you’re at least 13 or above. Since players are quite used to the rotations now, reaching level 15 won’t be an issue anymore.
Additionally, if you can unlock the Crater event for your runs, it’ll be beneficial, since you will be able to get an easy Legendary weapon. If you get the Scarlet Rot forest, you’ll get access to a few easy bosses and also the Power of the Forest, which is a pretty nice buff.
Make sure you pick up HP boosts if you’re playing a melee character or FP boost on Recluse, so that you can play your roles effectively. Keep a note of the movelist as has been listed above, and you’ll be able to clear the boss in no time.
Recommended Characters for Everdark Sovereign Sentient Pest in Elden Ring Nightreign

The characters that we used in the fight against the Everdark Sovereign Sentient Pest are as follows:
- Recluse
- Wylder
- Raider
Among these, I was playing the Recluse, and my job was to deal as much damage as possible. I primarily used the Prince of Death Staff alongside the Rancorcall Spell, and a couple of other Staffs, weapons, and shields that passively granted me enhanced Sorcery damage.
I focused on Pure Fire combo and the Fire/Magic combo to deal damage to the boss, since it’s primarily weak to fire. Apart from that, the Wylder and the Raider picked up HP boosts and focused on dealing damage as well as keeping the boss’s gaze as much as possible.
There was a moment when the boss was drawn towards me and kept focusing on me. However, I dodged most of those attacks, while my team damaged the boss, until I lost its gaze. I also picked up Starlight Shards so that I can have enough FP against the final boss.
Recommended Build for Everdark Sovereign Sentient Pest in Elden Ring Nightreign
| Elements | My Build | Recommended for You |
|---|---|---|
| Weapon | Prince of Death Staff with Rancorcall Spell | Any Fire weapon |
| Level | 15 | 13 or above |
| Relics and Talisman | Boost Sorceries, Reduced Skill Cooldown, Increased Casting Speed, FP boost. | If playing Recluse (same as the previous column) else, HP Boost, Stamina boost, Fire damage boost |
If you’re playing a melee class, make sure you have enough Stamina so that you can dodge attacks while dealing damage. HP boosts are also pretty good, even for Recluse, since you don’t want to get one-shot.
However, if you reach level 15, the boss deals very little damage, so you won’t have to worry much about anything.
