Stygian Onslaught: Incursion Repeller Event Guide in Genshin Impact

The Stygian Onslaught: Incursion Repeller has a cycle system in the game. The event became available with version 5.7, and it is set to become a permanent endgame event within the game. The current cycle started on June 25, 2025, and will end on July 29, 2025.
In this event, you will fight three different field bosses, and your objective is to complete them within a set time limit. There are a total of six difficulties to pick from in the event, which include Normal, Advancing, Hard, Menacing, Fearless, and Dire.
Among these, Normal, Advancing, and Hard are available right from the start. The rest are unlocked as you clear the previous difficulty levels. Additionally, when other players use characters, they become Exalted Ones who gain Eminent Boon and receive additional buffs.
The Exalted Ones change daily, so you will have new characters to pick from depending on which day you clear the stages. Finally, you must remember that the Fearless and Dire difficulty can be completed in Co-op, but you won’t receive any rewards for it.
Bosses, buffs, and Recommended teams for Stygian Onslaught: Incursion Repeller Event in Genshin Impact

The three bosses that you’ll fight in the event are as follows:
- Hydro Tulpa
- Lava Dragon Statue
- Secret Source Automaton: Overseer Device
Here are the field buffs you get to use when fighting the boss and the recommended teams for those:
Boss | Buffs | Recommended Teams |
---|---|---|
Hydro Tulpa | During the boss fight, Half-Tulpas will spawn that will emerge and the boss will absorb them. You can use Elemental attacks to destroy those, or Freeze them so that the boss cannot absorb them. | Mavuika, Xilonen, Bennett, Citlali |
Lava Dragon Statue | This boss will have two forms, and in the initial form, it possesses very high RES to all elements. You’ll have to deal Pyro damage, and soon its Pyro RES will increase a bit, but the RES to other elements will be reduced. Keep dealing Pyro DPS, and the boss will take massive damage and get immobilized. However, if you deal Water or Ice damage to the boss, it’s RES will be increased. | Kimich, Emilie, Dehya, Thoma |
Secret Source Automaton: Overseer Device | The boss will start in Sweeper mode and it will have high RES to all elements. The boss will rotate and gain Flow Momentum. This will reduce as you deal Cryo DMG. Once its Flow RES falls below a certain level, it will stop rotating and its RES to all elements will be reduced massively. If there’s a character that has Nightsoul mode active, the boss will be Counterstrike mode. This time it will deal damage through Tracking Rays, and it will have its RES massively reduced. | Skirk, Furina, Shenhe, Escoffier |
The difficulty of the bosses keeps increasing as you go higher up. So make sure all the characters are well-built with their best Artifacts and weapons.
