Only recently have we been lamenting how long it’s been since we’ve seen or heard anything about Kingdom Hearts 4, but things have ramped up this week with the first Kingdom Hearts 4 screens since the game was initially shown in April 2022.
Square Enix showed off the new screens on social media, and they’re in-game still of Sora causing a ruckus in a modern-looking city.
It’s not giving away too much, but it’s some crumbs of comfort for long-suffering Kingdom Hearts fans. See below for some of the Kingdom Hearts 4 screens, old and new.
Kingdom Hearts 4 Screens Give Fans Life

In a statement from Square Enix, the company wrote, “We’re currently working hard on Kingdom Hearts IV and will continue pouring ourselves into the game’s development. We’re dedicated to making this an experience that lives up to your expectations!”
Continuing along that line, the statement adds that, “We’ve seen how excited you are, and we are truly grateful from the bottom of our hearts. We are equally excited and can’t wait to share more about Kingdom Hearts IV when the time is right. Until then, we appreciate your patience. Thank you for your continued support.”
Yesterday, Square Enix announced the cancelation of the mobile game Kingdom Hearts Missing-Link, but made a point of insisting it was hard at work on Kingdom Hearts 4.
When Kingdom Hearts IV arrives, it will be the fifteenth installment in a series that has spanned multiple consoles and handhelds in its 23-year history. There are currently no platforms announced for the game.
