Monster Hunter Wilds is all about fighting tough monsters, and that can become quite stressful in the long run. As such, the game often introduces small quests that aren’t as hectic, allowing players to have some fun while taking a break.
New Fashion, Old Feelings is one such event in Monster Hunter Wilds, and it’s all about dressing yourself up in the best way possible. Here’s a guide on how to access the event and everything you need to do for its successful completion.
New Fashion, Old Feelings Quest Guide in Monster Hunter Wilds
This quest became available immediately after Title Update 2 was released on June 30, 2025. You’ll need to speak with Gemma, and she will talk to you about a competition regarding Layered armor. If you aren’t aware, a Layered armor is when you put on a different piece of equipment as a cosmetic over your actual gear.
Upon speaking to her, the New Fashion, Old Feelings quest will be triggered. Once the quest begins, you’ll be asked to craft the following pieces of gear:
- Bulaqchi Specs
- Hope Mail
- Clerk Vambracers
- Chatacabra Coil
- Piragill Greaves
Craft these gear pieces and wear them, and then talk to Gemma once again. Go through the dialogues, and you’ll receive the Hawkheart Jacket at the end of the mission.
You must remember that you’ll need to craft the Tier 2 (Orange) version of all the armor pieces except the Clerk Vambracers for which you will need to craft the Tier 1 (Green) version. You’ll also need Rathian coins to craft the Clerk Vambracers.
These can be obtained by completing Arena quests, which are pretty straightforward. The faster you complete them, the better rewards you’ll receive. However, you shouldn’t have problems with that if you’ve already reached the endgame.
