Elden Ring Nightreign features characters called Nightfarers, whom you can build using Relics for maximum effectiveness during combat. Relics are obtained from completing Nightlord expeditions or by purchasing them from the shop.
If you have been playing Nightreign a lot since its release, you may have heard about something called the Evergaol meta. This meta primarily develops from a specific Relic, and here’s a guide on how it works.
What is the Evergaol meta in Elden Ring Nightreign?

After you have defeated an Everdark Sovereign boss, you get access to a new merchant, called the Collector Signboard. This boss lets you purchase Relics, Urns, and costumes by exchanging Sovereign Sigils, which the Everdark Sovereign bosses drop.
Among them, you will find a Yellow-coded Relic called Grand Luminous Scene, and it comes with the following buffs:
- Permanent Increase to Attack Power when defeating an Evergaol enemy
- Treasures are marked on the map
- Start with an Evergaol key
This means the more Evergaol enemies you defeat, the stronger you become. By the time you have cleared the final Evergaol, you will become exceptionally strong, and the final Nightlord boss becomes quite easy.
How to build your character for the Evergaol meta

After clearing the first Evergaol boss, make sure you buy the aforementioned Relic from the Collector Signboard shop. It is a Yellow-coded Relic, which means you will need a Yellow slot on your Relic urn to use this one.
Some characters have one by default, while others will only have Red, Blue, and Green. In such a case, you’ll have to purchase a Vessel from the Jar Shop or an Urn from the Collector Signboard shop that contains a Yellow slot.
Upon purchasing one, go to the Relic Rites stand and select the one with the Yellow slot. Place the Relic, along with two others, depending on your preference. Once the Relics are placed, your build is ready, and you can jump into an expedition.
During an Expedition, make sure you clear all the Evergaols for the maximum Attack boost. Ideally, you want to get your first level by clearing a small camp and rushing to an Evergaol. Check how the zones are progressing, and pick the Evergaol route accordingly.
If all party members start with an Evergaol Relic, you will receive one Evergoal key each. For the rest, you can buy from merchants or pick up from chests. However, you will have enough keys so that you can clear all the Evergaols in a single run.
Most Evergaols are very easy and require little effort, so this meta lets you become really strong and makes Nightlord runs very easy.
