Rise of Rebellion Trailer Carves Up a Release Date
With an emphasis on strategic depth via player-controlled comat, Rise of Rebellion sees players take on the role of a Tella, warriors who have mastered the use of Tel energy and must use it to fight for their hometown.
Rise of Rebellion promises many challenging boss fights on its island setting, each more intimidating than the last. The gameplay I’ve seen so far certainly makes it seem like combat will be pretty intense, whatever you’re fighting.
If you’re curious about the game and want to try before you buy, the Steam page currently has a demo up. Keep in mind that it’s a modestly budgeted game, so the rough edges are more of a feature, not a flaw!
This is Team Hayataka’s debut game, so despite similarities to other action RPG titles, there’s a bit more of the unknown surrounding the game, even with the demo providing a glimpse of what to expect. It finds itself in an interesting stable under publisher Kodansha, which has backed the likes of Bokura, Fairytail Dungeons, In His Time, and Ignistone in recent years. Kodansha’s back catalog is largely furnished with roguelites and roguelikes, so this is something of a small departure for the publisher.
