Dragon Is Dead features multiple difficult bosses that will pose some of the biggest challenges, but also offer great loot in return. The difficulty that you’ll often have to overcome is that you’ll have to defeat them with one single life due to the game being a roguelike.
One such boss that you’ll come across is Tree Spirit Longmore, which is the first major challenge you will face. The boss isn’t hard, but it can be tricky depending on how quickly you can get hold of the mechanics.
Tree Spirit Longmore Move List

The Tree Spirit Longmore boss has three big faces, which you’ll notice as soon as you see the boss. Only one of the faces will be active at a time, and they will attack you with different movesets.
A rundown of the movesets for the boss is as follows:
Boss Part | Moveset | How to Counter |
---|---|---|
Left-most face | Release spikes from the floor below that will deal damage to the player. | The spikes are slow, so you can stop attacking for a while and easily dodge the spikes as you see them coming. |
Middle face | Two blades will appear on both sides of the player, that will rush at you and deal damage. | Jump as soon as the blades get closer, and you’ll dodge them with ease. |
Right-most face | Release a barrage of floating skulls that will deal damage when they hit you. | Press the dodge button to evade over the skulls, though they don’t deal too much damage. |
How To Beat Tree Spirit Longmore

Since only one of the three faces remains active at a single time, it is easy to beat the boss. The active face will glow red, which will give you a target and also knowledge of what kind of attack you need to dodge.
Any one of the faces will glow randomly, so you just need to approach it and start attacking. Once its specific attack arrives, dodge it as mentioned in the previous section. Then proceed to the next face and repeat the same.
Just make sure to stop attacking for a few seconds when the boss moves start, as it’s difficult to dodge while you are also attacking the enemy. Additionally, make sure you have enough healing flasks in case you take too much damage.
Tree Spirit Longmore Boss Drops

Some of the drops from the boss are random, while some are guaranteed. Here’s a brief rundown of what you may get upon defeating Tree Spirit Longmore:

- Currency (Guaranteed)
- Weapons such as Volcanic Sword (Random)
