Dragon Is Dead is a roguelike action RPG in which you must complete the game with just one life. If you die, you’ll lose key parts of your build and will have to spend time earning them back from the start.

This means your skills and equipment are paramount to success when you go on a run. The more geared up you are, the better your chances of survival, and here’s a guide on how you can change your weapon and equipment during your journey.

Changing weapons and equipment is quite simple in Dragon Is Dead. You can open your inventory by pressing “I” on your keyboard. Once you do that, your inventory opens, showing what you have equipped and everything you have in your stash.

If you want to equip something from your stash, click on it and place it at its proper position. This will equip the item instantly, and you’ll be able to use it in combat.

Items drop randomly from chests, defeating bosses like the Tree Spirit Longmore, or can be purchased from merchants. Make sure to always equip the best items and artifacts so that you have a chance when fighting the most formidable enemies in the game.

The best part about weapons and equipment is that they don’t disappear upon death. This means, if you die during a run, but you ended up picking something extremely powerful, you’ll be able to use it in the following run pretty easily.

Finally, you can keep your equipment in storage in the main town, where you respawn after death. You’ll find a massive box, where you can place anything that you don’t want, or are looking to use at a later point.

You’ll also be able to sell your equipment if you want to the merchant in the town, if you’re in urgent need of some currency.
