Xbox has announced the Game Pass April/May 2025 lineup. For RPG fans, the intriguing turn-based spectacle of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 will launch on the service on Day One.
The Game Pass also includes the Game Preview release of Stoic’s side-scrolling action RPG Towerborne on Xbox Series X|S.

That’s a pretty good Game Pass April/May 2025 roster! A bit RPG-adjacent, but Dredge is fantastic and well worth checking out.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is published by Kepler Interactive (Sifu, Pacific Drive, Cat Quest III, Windblown) and developed by Sandfall Interactive. The French developer is making its full debut after being founded in 2020.
In Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, players lead the members of the titular Expedition 33 on their quest to destroy the Paintress, who has the ability to paint death itself. The game world is heavily inspired by Belle Epoque France, a period in time between the end of the Franco-Prussian War and the start of World War I.
Its combat is an interesting mixture of turn-based and real-time mechanics, and coupled with striking Unreal Engine 5-fuelled visuals, has made the game an eyecatching, mouthwatering prospect for RPG fans.
Towerborne asks players to venture out of The Belfry solo or with up to three other Aces to vanquish the looming terror that surrounds the tower. Either way, players won’t be alone. Aces can recruit Umbra companions to join them in battle, gaining access to enhanced skills and unique abilities tied to each spirit. After fighting your way through enemies, return to The Belfry to turn in quests, reforge gear, and more.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 will be released on April 24, 2025, for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
