Where to Find Ancient Civilization Parts in Palworld

Ancient Civilization Parts are one of those Palworld materials that can be confusing at first, mostly because you don’t gather them in the same way as Wood, Stone, or Ore. There isn’t a simple resource node to mine, and you’re not going to fill your pockets with them just by wandering around the starting area.

Instead, you usually get Ancient Civilization Parts by taking on stronger Pals and special encounters. They become more important once you start unlocking Ancient Technology, as several useful items and structures need them. If you want to build up a decent supply, it’s worth knowing where they actually come from rather than hoping you stumble across them.

How to Get Ancient Civilization Parts

The most reliable way to get Ancient Civilization Parts in Palworld is by defeating or capturing Alpha Pals.

Alpha Pals are the larger boss-style Pals found around the map. Once you discover them, they’re normally marked clearly, so you can return later when you’re ready to fight them again. They’re stronger than regular Pals, but that’s also what makes them useful. If you need Ancient Civilization Parts, farming Alpha Pals is usually the best place to start.

Lucky Pals can also give Ancient Civilization Parts. These are the rare, glowing Pals that appear randomly while you’re exploring. You’ll usually hear them before you properly spot them, and they’re larger than normal versions of the same Pal.

They aren’t a reliable farming method because you can’t force them to appear, but they’re always worth stopping for. Even if you don’t need the parts right away, catching or defeating a Lucky Pal is rarely a waste of time.

Some Expeditions can also reward Ancient Civilization Parts later in the game, which gives you another way to collect them without constantly fighting bosses.

Best Early Source of Ancient Civilization Parts

For early players, Alpha Pals are the best source of Ancient Civilization Parts.

Chillet is one of the better early targets because it’s a lower-level Alpha compared with many of the other bosses in Palworld. If you’re still building your team and only need your first few Ancient Civilization Parts, Chillet is a good place to begin.

That doesn’t mean you should rush in with no preparation. Alpha Pals are tougher than normal enemies, even when they’re lower level. Bring a proper team, basic armour, a weapon you’re comfortable with, and some healing items. If your Pals are underlevelled, even an early Alpha can turn into a messy fight.

After an Alpha Pal has been defeated, it will eventually respawn. That means you can return later and farm the same boss again when you need more parts.
